Welcome to yogaROCKS, Lahti's premier destination for climbing and yoga since 2010!

We have two locations in Lahti.  We offer indoor bouldering for climbers of all levels and daily yoga classes at our original location Saksalankatu 26, 15100 Lahti , just 1.4 km from the city center (15 min. walk). There is plenty of free parking at Saksalankatu and buses 32H, 7 and 2 stop at a bus stop (Saksalankatu 104069) right in front of yogaROCKS.  

Our second location is for yoga only  -- a gorgeous boutique studio with retail shop located right in the heart of Lahti at Aleksanterinkatu 1, in the first courtyard at the end of the main street. (scroll down for more yoga info below)

CLIMBING INFO: 

We have a good sized indoor bouldering area with about 300m2 of climbing walls, filled with routes that are continually changed and updated to challenge climbers of all skill levels.  If you're unfamiliar with bouldering, it's a fun and addictive style of climbing with routes that only go about 4-5 meters high.  The floors are also padded, so no other equipment is used other than shoes (which we rent).  We also have a number of training elements, including the popular moon board and a warm up area with functional training equipment. Welcome to come climb any time during opening hours.  No reservation is required to climb, unless you plan to come with a large group or want to book a guide.   Even if you're brand new to bouldering, most people find it easy to start climbing without extra guidance.  Our front desk person or climbing coordinator will give you little orientation.  From September through May, opening hours for climbing are Mon-Thurs 13:00-21:00, Friday 13-20:00, Saturday 9:30-17, Sunday 12-17.  Summer hours may vary (please check our website or facebook page).  

CLIMBING PRICES: Adult, 10€, Student/Child 8€, shoe rental 3€. We also have a special intro offer that gives you a month of unlimited climbing and shoe rental for 49,90€ (39,90 with student card) that includes a 1 hour bouldering basics lesson with our instructor.

There is no time limit for climbing.  Children from about 6 years old are usually big enough to reach the holds and will enjoy climbing.  Children under 14 need to be with an adult supervising.

What else? We also run a popular children's climbing school and do awesome climbing birthday parties. We host corporate events and offer outdoor/rope climbing instruction and ice climbing instruction as weather allows.

YOGA INFO: 

We offer daily classes in many styles ... everything from cleansing hot yoga, to powerful vinyasa flow and ashtanga, meditative hatha, soothing yin yoga, and some fun stuff including aerial yoga, barre and kettlebell classes.  Our yoga teachers are some of the top teachers in the area. If you're looking for classes taught in English (with a little Finnish sprinkled in ;-)) find classes by yogaROCKS founder Leta LaVigne. But all the teachers understand and speak English.

To book a class through our website 1) select the class you want  2) click "ilmoitaudu" 3) create a profile if you're new to yogaROCKS, or log in to your profile if you are a returning customer 4) select your pricing option (for example, 1 class, 10 classes or our 1 month intro offer) 5) continue to check out with your shopping cart and pay with your card.  Please make sure to double check your location, as we have two different studios.

Even easier, download our free mobile app  for android or iphone for easy booking and purchase.  In the app, after you choose an initial location, you can toggle back and forth betwen the two locations from the top of your screen.

You are also welcome to simply show up for a class and as long as we have space, though we recommend that you reserve in advance.

YOGA PRICES: we have many options! Adult price for 1 class is 18€ (14€ with student card).  10 x at one location is 145€, add 10€ to use the card at both studios.  Basically, the more you want to practice, the cheaper it gets... our unlimited monthly memberships go as low as 99€ per month.  If you are new to yogaROCKS the absolute best value is to take our 1 month unlimited introductory offer.  Buy it online/or through the mobile app for only 39,90€ (if you buy it at the front desk it is 49,90) and you get unlimited classes at BOTH our locations for an entire month with no strings attached.  It is a value of over 150€.  It's a great way to test out all our many styles and teachers, to find the yoga practice that suits you. We have something for everyone, and we welcome every body - regardless of size, flexibility, level of experience etc.  We are a very friendly community :-).  We also offer children's yoga!

Which classes are good for beginners?  Hot Yoga 1 will be a strong/challenging/hot practice that will build familiarity with many postures and grow your strength and stamina.  Yin yoga is another favorite - totally different - it will consist of long, passive stretches done mostly sitting for a very deep and restorative result.  Yin and Yang and Hatha yoga are also good for beginners. Yin and Yang combines more active practice with some of the longer asanas.  Hatha is simple and profound with more emphasis on breathing exercises and meditation.  Beginner's Flow (Vinyasa Flow Alloitellijoile) is also good for beginners - it is in general going to include more upper body strength as it will include a lot of down dog and chaturanga (the yoga push up).
